7 years of NAO Landscapes

They say the 7-year itch can also exist in business, but that couldn’t be further from the truth for NAO Landscapes who celebrated the milestone anniversary back in August and continue to go from strength to strength.

In the summer of 2016, after years of working his way up in other landscaping businesses, Nick alongside the encouragement and support of his wife Lucy took the plunge and set about launching a commercial landscape business. It was then that NAO Landscapes was born.

Originally from Sydney, Nick fell in love with the UK landscaping market whilst working for a firm in London during a gap year. Through his time in the capital, he gained the connections and passion necessary for him to chase his dreams of running a ‘large-scale commercial landscaping business in London.’ That dream, over the last 7 years, has steadily and organically become a reality. With most of their work coming in through word-of-mouth recommendations, the team have built a strong reputation for delivering landscapes to an exceptional standard.

As with any fast-growing business, they have faced their fair share of challenges but NAO Landscapes credits a lot of their success to standing firm with regard to pricing and not allowing clients to push down the price. Another major determining factor in the success of the business is its fantastic team of staff who all bring their own unique set of skills but share the same drive and commitment needed to succeed.

The business has gone on to secure some huge contracts as of late and is currently working on major developments in the city including the highly anticipated Hallsville Quarter which will bring a brand new town centre for London’s Canning Town. Having almost doubled their turnover year-on-year, there are no plans to slow down and NAO hopes to add to their trophy cabinet over the next few years.

Rest assured, it is not all work and no play. The team recently went out to celebrate their 7th anniversary. The day out saw staff compete against each other at crazy golf, followed by pizza and personalised cupcakes.
