Hallsville Quarter Phase 3 forms part of the wider regeneration of Canning Town, bringing new homes and public spaces to an evolving neighbourhood in East London. Working with Bouygues UK, NAO Landscapes delivered an extensive hard and soft landscaping package that helped shape the development’s streets, communal areas and outdoor spaces.

Our largest project to date, with a contract value of approximately £6 million, Hallsville Quarter was delivered over more than two years. The scale and duration of the works required sustained coordination with Bouygues UK and the wider project team as different areas of the development progressed through construction and handover.

NAO’s scope included public realm paving, street works, street furniture and soft landscaping, bringing together the detailed elements needed to create an attractive and functional setting for the new buildings. The works also included a play area with resin-bound surfaces, providing a dedicated outdoor space for residents and families.

The public realm was an important part of the project’s regeneration setting. Carefully executed paving, planting and street-level finishes help connect the development with its surrounding neighbourhood, creating spaces that serve residents, visitors and the wider community.

Delivering such a substantial landscape package over an extended programme demanded careful planning of labour, materials, access and sequencing. Our team coordinated works across multiple areas while maintaining attention to quality, safety and the interfaces between hard landscaping, planting and the adjoining streets.

Hallsville Quarter Phase 3 demonstrates NAO’s capacity to deliver large-scale, complex landscape construction projects over the long term. From public realm and street works to play spaces and soft landscaping, our contribution helped bring together the external environment of a significant regeneration development.
