NAO Landscapes delivered a wide-ranging package of hard and soft landscaping works across the LeShuttle terminal, bringing greenery and seasonal interest to its extensive operational setting.

The works included new planting media, mature trees, instant hedging, shrubs and ground cover to the car park verges, complemented by decorative gravel borders and whelk shell mulch. We also prepared and conditioned the soil for a large-scale wildflower meadow, creating an expansive area of flowering habitat.

To soften the larger buildings and infrastructure, we installed freestanding raised metal planters with integrated trellises for climbing plants to establish living green screens. Trailing ivy was planted along a four-metre-high steel retaining wall, while new hedging and shrubs frame the LeShuttle sign at the terminal entrance.

With the planting spread across a large compound, automated irrigation systems were installed in several areas to support establishment and ongoing maintenance.
