NAO Landscapes delivered an extensive public realm improvement project at Winnersh Triangle, working for Frasers Property in collaboration with ASA Landscape Architects. The six-month programme focused on transforming the external spaces surrounding Winnersh Triangle railway station, creating a more welcoming and functional environment for commuters, visitors and the wider business park community.

Before the new landscape could take shape, our team removed the existing soft landscaping to prepare the site for redevelopment. The subsequent works brought together hard and soft landscaping, street furniture and transport infrastructure to create a cohesive public realm.

The hard landscaping package included new paving and kerbs, providing durable pedestrian routes and clearly defined external spaces. External lighting was incorporated to improve visibility around the station, particularly for passengers travelling during the darker hours.

NAO also installed cycle stands, a bus shelter and contemporary concrete benches. These features provide practical facilities for people travelling to and from the station, while creating places to sit and spend time within the public realm.

New soft landscaping was integrated alongside the hard surfaces and street furniture, introducing greenery and helping to soften the surrounding built environment.

Delivering the works around an established transport hub required careful coordination of the different landscape elements. Working alongside Frasers Property and ASA Landscape Architects, NAO brought together the paving, planting, lighting and street furniture within a coordinated six-month programme.
